James Vickers Band
On the cusp of a professional career as a blues rock performer, 14-year old James is already writing his own material and has played in Nashville. He also plays solo and regularly performs with his band at venues like the Duncan Showroom and Nanaimo's Queens Hotel. The maturity of his guitar playing and voice are far beyond his years. James is clearly a rising star!
Malakai
Malakai is a folk-pop based artist based in Duncan. At age 15 he is already a seasoned performer and a skilled multi-instrumentalist having opened for many well-known artists including Lynn Miles, Valdy, Norman Foote and Daniel Champagne. Appearances include the Port Theatre, the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre, the Cowichan Folk Guild, the Filberg Festival, and the Nanaimo Blues Festival.
DJ Connor
11-year old Connor Smyth was first inspired to perform at dances when he watched DJs during a family holiday in Ibeza. The catchy songs by pop artists like DJ Tiesto, DJ Marshmallow, Talyor Swift and ‘Gangnam Style’ by South Korean rapper Psy have now become part of DJ Connor's repertoire. He’s performed at Oceanside Elementary and for a New Year’s family event at the Qualicum Community Centre. Connor is also in demand for community celebrations like the Foster Park Easter Egg Hunt and now for the Route 19A Music Festival.
