Aloha! I am honoured to carry 30 years of teaching experience & healing care. As a retired crisis response, mental health nurse, I have focused on bridging gaps in health; by bringing teachings of mindfulness, earth based practices & energy healing to communities. I'm a Registered Reiki Teacher, certified meditation teacher & doula. Illuminating what was once dark & stormy is my passion in life, always has been.
Biography
Aloha! I'm Tonya of Sephiras Light. I have spent my entire life in the Healing arts, both in mainstream medical care (25 years) and holistic healing. Offering 15 years Reiki Care experience, I am a former emergency room & crisis response nurse in a Vancouver inner city hospital, specializing in mental health. I provide care & teachings in a heart centred, holistic way. My relationship with the world around is rooted in land based & all-my-relations perspectives, having grown up in Hawaii-Big Island and wide open land in the south Similkameen (Bc interior) area. This is reflected through my way of being with students and clients. As a Reiki Master Teacher, I have found Reiki (the traditional art of Japanese energy healing) is part of my way of life. I'm a registered Taekwondo Master Teacher through Kukkiwon in Seoul, South Korea and formerly taught and ran TKD schools. Meditation Classes and the artistic forms of Poomsae were my passion. I'm graced to have raised 5 talented and gorgeous humans and now have been a birth doula at some of my beautiful grandbabes birthings. To witness and hold sacred space for such events is incredibly humbling. I love hearing peoples stories and holding space for their transformations, having myself been transformed and re-invented many times over; (Either self-motivated or by Universe's mighty 'push'.) I love creating, the ocean, my mountain sojourns, family & my beautiful partner Bryan.
