I work with acrylic paint, inks, washi paper and bendable plywood to create my bright, colorful paintings and sculptures.
Biography
Since moving to Vancouver Island in 2013, I have been inspired to channel my artistry into painting & sculpting the amazing creatures that inhabit this incredible ecosystem. I like to create art from a different perspective, focusing close in on my subjects. My current muses are the jewel colored starfish I search for at low tide. I am also obsessed with trying to capture the unique beauty of the wondrous and magnificent Giant Pacific Octopus. I have been on this creative journey for the most part unencumbered by formal training. Working with acrylic paint, inks, washi paper and bendable plywood to create my bright, colorful paintings and sculptures.
