Biography
Leslie is a Canadian west coast artist (AFCA) recently moved from the mainland to Hammond Bay on Vancouver Island . She has artistic roots five generations deep on our BC coast and spent her childhood on Saltspring Island. Her deep reverence for our beautiful coastline shows in her sensitive artwork. She strives to capture the essence of place, the play of light upon water and land. She is fascinated by both the dynamic power of nature and the serenity of a quiet moment. Leslie was artist in residence at the Beach Club resort this past summer and shows at TOSH studio 6 in Qualicum. She has home studios/galleries both here in BC and in Arizona, where she winters each year in the historic village of Tubac, Arizona near the Mexican border. Leslie shows in multiple galleries in both Canada and the USA and has won several awards. She enjoys studying with master artists here and abroad and loves to paint en plein air wherever her travels take her.
