Local Metalsmith works with silver, copper, bronze to create unique jewellery

Biography

The creation of simple yet charming jewelry has become my artistic passion. Expressing my experiences and love of artistic growth through designing and crafting jewelry by combining various metals and semi-precious stones in designs that appealed to my cross-cultural experiences. I have expanded into metal work using fine silver, sterling silver, Argentium silver, copper and bronze to represent the amazing resilience of the world’s people. The processes involved in metal work… the annealing, cutting, filing texturing and shaping of metal into forms from my imagination are rewarding and remind me of the constant changes in our lives as we are shaped by our experiences. I have enjoyed living in many places across Canada and have travelled extensively to forty-five countries. Thirty-six of the countries I explored by sail over a three-year period; the others while I lived in Europe. All of these experiences have broadened my outlook on the world, its people and cultures, and keep influencing my artistic passions. I’d like to share my ongoing adventure with you.
