
MAC SCHOOL – ART FOUNDATIONS – DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS – Session 1

Cost: $200 total for both classes
Discover the elements of design and enhance your art viewing and art making pleasure. Participants will explore how these concepts can be applied to their own art. The workshops will include interactive discussion and viewing of textiles as well as a variety of hands-on activities using different art mediums to reinforce the information in a fun way. Learning about the elements of design will help participants advance their creative process. Cost is $200 for both sessions
Session 1 -Participants will learn about line and shape as elements of design
Session 2 – Participants will learn about texture and space as elements of design.
Recommended prerequisite – Textile Colour Exploration or Art Foundations: Colour Theory Core Course
Supply list will be provided upon registration
About the Instructor: Margie Davidson is a quilt artist and surface designer. She enjoys painting, sunprinting, and blockprinting as well as cooking up colour with natural dyes. Her award-winning quilts have been exhibited in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United States.
