About
Adam Lewis is an Indigenous Artist that started out as a Graffiti Artist. Just over two years ago he began painting First Nations traditional Form Line art. He fused the two together to create his unique, “traditional with a contemporary twist”, style of art that has put him on the map and made him the favourite of hundreds of art collectors and fans all over North America. Adam is inviting anyone and everyone to join him in painting a Community Mural for BC Culture Days.
With Adam’s guidance and direction, participants will be painting the graffiti background of a large mural. Adam will then take over to complete this collaborative masterpiece in with his form line style design,. And it’s all done with spray cans!
We know that many of you are out there with spray cans and that you have creative energy and something to say so here’s your opportunity to hang with a super talented artist and all around cool guy, and let your creativity flow in broad daylight, for REAL. Graffiti Art is a legitimate art form when it is done with permission and purpose. Learn how you can up your game and put your mark on a piece of Public Art. Way cooler than tagging stop signs right?
The mural will later be professionally installed on a building in the Parksville downtown area for everyone to enjoy for many years to come. All materials are provided along with a professional photographer/videographer so all you need to do is come on out and show us what you’ve got. No experience is required and everyone can be part of the team. You might want to wear old clothes or a painting apron. Masks and gloves will be available for all who request them. Children are welcome but anyone younger than 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
